Afghan Support – How You Can Help

The Individuals and Families of Afghans arriving into the UK through the ARAP Scheme are provided essential support by the Home Office, Local Authorities and their providers. However there are many ways for you to offer your support in either time, items or donations.

Some local authorities have local organisations that support families in the LA, so direct offers of support to these organisations. Please select your nearest LA below:

As a Co-operative Council, we are committed to continue working with local organisations to help Telford & Wrekin residents in need, alongside supporting those fleeing a crisis.   

One practical way that people can help is by donating cash, food, toiletries, or new or good quality pre-loved items, such as warm clothing (adults and children) and toys.  The following organisations are currently seeking donations:

Telford and Wrekin Interfaith Council

Donations can be made in person at the Telford & Wrekin Interfaith Council Community Hub, 19 New Street, Wellington, TF1 1LU.  Alternatively, please email or telephone 07545 023519 (7 days a week) to discuss making a donation or volunteering with the Interfaith Council. 

Telford Crisis Support
