Providing local support and strategic leadership to ensure that the West Midlands can respond to and engage with migration.

About Us

From the begining.

The West Midlands Strategic Migration Partnership team is one of 12 Strategic Migration Partnerships within the UK that were established following the introduction of a regional dispersal policy in 1999 for people seeking asylum. Since 2007, our remit broadened to cover the wider migration agenda, which now includes Ukraine and Afghan resettlement.

Hosted by City of Wolverhampton Council, our core activities include running projects and bringing together senior representatives from local and national government, voluntary, community and private sectors to ensure that migration is managed to benefit all in the West Midlands.
